Vidya was working on her laptop when someone knocked on her door.
She kept her gaze on the laptop, "Come in!!"
Akshita stepped in and sat on the sofa.
She said excitedly, "Someone's coming to meet you in the evening so wear something beautiful and decent. It's Bade Papa's order..."
Vidya rolled her eyes in annoyance, "That's why he permitted a leave? Damn it!! By the way, Who's coming?"
Akshita stood up and flipped her hair, "I'm not going to tell you..."
Vidya stood up after shutting her laptop and flipped her hair too, "Then I'm not coming..."
She smiled and sat on the edge of her bed while Akshita sat on her knees in front of her, cupping her face.
"You... Mrityunjay's family is coming to...", Akshita was about to complete but Vidya stood up and shouted,
"What the hell?" "Why? It's been two weeks, I thought he must've denied for this relationship shit."
Akshita gestured Vidya to lower her voice.
"I told that bastard to make excuses and end this but he... he agreed and now coming over with his family... I'll kill him!! Give me my phone...", Vidya retorted.
"He's not coming...Only his parents are coming, so chill Vidi", Akshita told her.
"Chill...I'll chill his soul by freezing him alive... Why his parents are coming that bastard must've agreed to our relationship and my father he won't tell them that I'm not fucking interested in marriage... Fine!!" she sat, calmness spread on her face but her eyes were ready to burn everyone.
Fine!! This means she planned something terrible for everyone.
"Wear something traditional... I'm going to get ready... After all, someone's finally coming to see you.", Akshita teased, and walked towards the door, dramatically.
Vidya stretched her hand to take the pillow and threw it on her head.
"Ouch!! It's not hurting", Akshita said dramatically and left the room.
.
.
There was chaos in her bungalow. Maids and cooks were doing their stuff under the guidance of her father.
Vidya was standing in the gallery of first floor and witnessing everything with an annoyed face.
Shantanu saw her and passed a bright smile, she ignored him and entered her room. He was too happy and why not he'd be.
After five years someone agreed to marry her. For the first time her tricks failed and a person is not afraid of her. He already considered him as his son-in-law but little did he know that his daughter would try every possible tactic to ruin this meeting and she already started her plan.
On the other side... Mrityunjay's mother was packing gifts for Vidya's family and was very excited to meet her while Mrityunjay was confused as to why she's so excited to meet a random girl.
Mr. Rathore didn't know this random girl would change his life completely, she'd let him know what the meaning of true love is.
His father entered the hall after completing his meeting with some ministers.
He asked, "When will we leave for Rudravanshi Sahab's house?"
"After an hour or so because it's almost a two-three hour ride and we need to reach by 7 pm", Mrityunjay replied while texting someone. His dad sat beside him.
.
.
After half an hour, a servant entered the hall with a bangle box. Mrityunjay stood up in a panic as if he didn't want his parents to see that box and gestured her to leave which she failed to understand and greeted them.
Then she stepped towards Mrityunjay, he closed his eyes in disbelief and annoyance and she handed him that box.
His parents were giving a confused glare to each other. Finally, her mother asked her, "Why did you give that box to him?"
Mrityunjay glared at her, enlarging his eyes but she was bound to answer his mother, "Chote Saheb ne kaha tha ki laal churiyan leke aana isliye" (He told me to buy red bangles, that's why)
"What?", his father said in shock while his mother told the servant to leave.
"Red bangles for whom?", Jayveer questioned.
"For...um...Anirudh...", he replied while cursing himself.
"Hey dude... I'm a full grown man and I don't wear bangles...", Anirudh said while entering the hall.
Mrityunjay glared at him while his parents tried to analyze his actions.
Anirudh added, "It's for Vidya"
"Y.O.U. A.S.S.H.O.L.E", Mrityunjay lip-synced these words to Anirudh who was smirking.
"What!!" his parents shouted in unison.
"No need to overreact... It's just a gift for her as per our family tradition", Mrityunjay said coldly.
"There's no such tradition in our family...", Jayveer snapped while Mridha chuckled.
"Rehne dijiye...Uske liye Jay naye tradition bana raha hai...", she said while smiling. (Leave it...He's making new traditions for her)
Mrityunjay left the hall and headed towards the garage. He picked his Rolls Royce Cullinan and gestured for Anirudh, to get in while his parents went in their own car.

Mrityunjay's Pov We entered Rudravanshi's Bangalow; the exterior was pretty.
I was standing with my parents near the entrance while Ani's eyes were searching for his Miss.
Mr. Rudravanshi stepped towards us and shook hands with Papa sa. I greeted him and in exchange he patted my back while gesturing me to enter.
Servants placed snakes, sweets, and juices on the table. Jayveer uncle and my parents got engaged doing some chit-chat.
After a while, Akshita entered the hall, straight from the kitchen. Ani passed a smile, and she ignored it.
I tilted and whispered, "Bhao nahi derahi bhai!! Bura toh nahi lag raha?" (She's not giving attention towards you!! You're not feeling bad right?)
He glared at me, "Humko toh peeth peeche bhao mil jayega.Tum apna socho, tumhari wali bad mai bhi nahi degi. BHAO!!", he said with a smirk. (I'll get her attention behind other's back. You think about yourself, your miss will not give attention to you even behind others'backs.)
I said, "Humari nahi h woh..." clenched my jaw. (She's not mine)
"Hogi toh tumhari hi... Aunty k iraade khatrnak h is baar.", he teased and I ignored him. (She'll be yours... Aunt's intentions seem dangerous this time.)
Vidya's father asked me a few questions about my business and all.
In the meantime, Maa chit-chatted with Akshita.
"Akshi Beta... Vidi ko leke aaiye...", Uncle told Akshita. (Akshi... Bring Vidi..)
My heart started to beat fast at the mention of her name... Am I being desperate to see her? No No!! I'm not. I assured myself.
I know she'll try something to end this. I just wish she could succeed because I can't love her or anyone and I know that. I don't want to hurt her because I know she's already suffering, and being anyone's reason for pain terrifies me to the core.
Akshita was about to leave to check her but suddenly, her voice stopped Akshita and we all shifted our gaze toward her voice.
She stepping down from the stairs, "WELCOME EVERYONE!!".
WTF!! Is she wearing? Okay, I'm not against Western dresses but she should think about my parents and her dignity, they're not so open-minded. What was the need for this? She's insane.
I closed my eyes in disbelief and shifted my gaze to my parents who were trying to process everything.
"Vidya!! Go change your dress...", Uncle shouted. I was about to say something but maa's voice stopped me.
"No...She's looking stunning in this. Why'd she change?? We're not old-fashioned. Come here, Vidya... Sit with Jay", she said, making everyone shock because we know she's not that open-minded.
I don't know why my mother is being so soft with her.
She didn't speak a single word and walked towards me. Must be in shock that another plan of hers failed terribly. Her plans are too childish!!
She sat beside me, I whispered, "Did you decide to look like a witch today? Congratulations!! Miss Witch, you did it..." I rolled my eyes while she glared at me with her little puppy eyes.
"I told you to end this...", she snapped while pasting a smile on her face.
Her smile... I know it's fake but can I make it real? I started to wonder, if her fake smile suits her so well what about the real one? How beautiful she'll look with a real smile and for how long she'd been faking it? I want to know everything.
"I tried but I can't disobey my parents. I guess you're good at disobeying so carry on...", I replied making her roll her eyes.
"Talking to you is a waste of time", she retorted. "Actually, You wasted 4 precious minutes. If you don't want to waste more... Just Shut up!!", I snapped dramatically.
She didn't reply.
She kept glaring my mother. I was about to ask her the reason but maa interrupted.
"You guys... Go chit-chat outside for a while.", she said.
"But..", Vidya was about to complete but her father glared at her and she stood up and walked towards the lawn then I followed her.
Ani snapped, "I need to attend a call" and he exited from the main door. I know this bastard is finding ways to talk to Akshita.
But how will I manage her? She's not easy to handle.
Bhole Baba apse mangana band kr diye hai par bas is aafat se dur rakhiye hume... (Lord Shiva, I have stopped soliciting you but keep this trouble away from me)
We walked for a while in silence. It seems like she's trying to memorize something. A part of me wanted to hear her soft yet powerful voice but another part loved this silence.
I slipped my hand inside the pocket of my coat and took out that bangle box.
I was walking behind her, I tapped her shoulder and she turned. I handed her the box directly without saying a single word.
She frowned. "What's this?", she asked.
"Bangles...", I replied.
"Why?"
"It's a gift", I clenched my jaw and shifting my gaze from her eyes to the dark sky.
Although they both seem the same. The darkness... But her eyes have some kind of magic. I feel an urge to end the real reason for the darkness inside her but the urge is partial and I don't help someone who thinks that they can do everything on their own.
In short egoistic people.
In the meantime, she opened the box and took out those red bangles.
"Why are you giving this to me?", she inquired.
"Last time... I noticed you hadn't worn bangles and I thought they'd suit you so... Nothing romantic...Just a gift because we don't meet someone bare-handed", I said clearing my intentions.
The reason was so weird. She didn't shift her gaze from the bangles. Will she break these?
***
Vidya's Pov These bangles reminded me of my Mumma. I used to gift her bangles on her birthdays and she was wearing the same bangles as these, last time.
"You okay?", his voice dragged me out of those thoughts.
I nodded and said, "My mother loves to wear bangles and these reminded me of her and I don't wear bangles because of that so please keep it,"
I think I said a lot.
I shifted my gaze towards him. His hazel eyes seem to be soft. Soft out of sympathy or love? I don't know but I want to know.
"You should wear these Vidya... They'd suit you and I think, your mother also wants you to remember her with love not pain", he exclaimed while pushing the strand of my hair behind the back of my ear. His fingers brushed my ear.
His gesture sent shivers down my spine because it was the first time, a man had touched me except my father and I felt safe. Not a single part inside me wants to push him back and slap him.
To be honest, I sometimes crave such a type of warmth and his words don't feel like sympathy, they feel warm. He didn't say sorry I didn't know that before or anything stupid.
But I can't remember her with love because her part in my story is full of pain. His eyes and mine were locked while I was thinking all this. He seems to find answers inside my eyes and I can see his pain but I don't want to know who's the reason behind his pain because at least he has a complete family while I always craved for one.
"I'll wear these... Thanks!!", I said while breaking the eye contact. He hummed in response while adjusting his collars.
One of the servants interrupted us and told us to come to the dining room for dinner. We moved towards the same.
I sat, while he removed his coat placed it on the back of the chair, and rolled his black shirt sleeves... Freaking Hot!! His hands... Stop it Vidya!! You're not like this...
I drank water while my gaze shifted to his mother. And my brain filled with the same question. I've seen her somewhere else!! Do I know her? I've to ask her.
"Aap kon hai? Matlab kya aap hume pehele se janti hai?", I asked her. (Who are you? I meant do you know me?)
She shifted her gaze towards me from her husband. "Ji hum jante hai apko beta...", she said. (Yes I know you...)
"How?", I asked immediately.
"Apki mumma ki best friend hai hum. Aapse bachpan mai mile the bas ek baar.", she said which made me remember those memories. (I'm your mother's best friend. I met you in your childhood)
Mumma, she and I were having fun on our lawn. Mumma was discussing something with her but she stopped when I entered the lawn.
I shifted my gaze to Mrityunjay, who seemed to be confused that meant he didn't know it.
After the dinner ended and they were about to leave.
Aunty asked, "Ab toh ye rishta aage badha skte hai na Vidya?" (Now we can take this relationship forward. Right, Vidya?)
"Kyu? Mera matlab nahi aunty... Hum shaadi mai interested nahi hai... Or sach bole toh apke bete ek sath toh bilkul nahi... I didn't mean to hurt you but I don't want to give you false hopes because I consider you as my mother", I said without making eye contact with her or anyone else. (Why? I mean no aunty... I'm not interested in marriage... And speaking the truth, I'm not interested in marrying your son)
"Maa... Agar sab hogya ho or apko humari izzat pyaari ho toh isko koi jawab nahi dijiyega or seedha ap yaha se chalengi... Bas!!", Mrityunjay said with rage in his husky voice. (Mom... If everything is done and you value our dignity then you will not give any answer to her and will leave from here straight...that's it!!)
This man!! He wanted the same and now he's overreacting over nothing. I just cleared myself and he's exaggerating things. I thought you were different but you have the same male ego as others. Why am I so offended? I don't care... He has full right to react or overreact.
They exited the main door while my father hung his head low for no reason, to be honest. Hum konsa shaadi se bhag gye jo in logo ko itna gussa or dukh ho raha h... Waise jabrdasti karte toh wo bhi krlete. (I didn't run from my wedding then why they are so angry and sad? Anyways if they've forced me, I would have done so too)
I need to check on other things too and I'm happy it ended. Now I need to find the person behind the threats.
